Resumen: Entre 1949 y 1952 Fernando Fernán-Gómez dirigió e interpretó varias obras en el Instituto Italiano de Cultura para un público reducido y en funciones de cámara. Esta experiencia supuso una ampliación del repertorio teatral y una apertura a la dramaturgia italiana clásica y moderna en tiempos de penuria cultural.

A CHAMBER THEATRE IN THE SPANISH POST-WAR PERIOD
Abstract: Between 1949 and 1952 Fernando Fernán-Gómez directed and performed several works at the Italian Institute of Culture for a reduced audience and for chamber functions. This experience meant an expansion of the theatrical repertoire and an opening to classical and modern Italian dramaturgy in times of cultural shortage.
