LA LUZ ARTIFICIAL: UN MOMENTO PARA MIRAR¹

Resumen: A partir de los años 80 se produce una necesidad de búsqueda y conocimiento de la iluminación teatral, a la que he definido como “teatrocrofilia”. A lo largo de todos estos años, he buscado un análisis, desde un concepto objetivo, de la iluminación en el teatro español, no sólo desde el plano teórico, sino también intentando averiguar por qué a través de la técnica se llega a la imagen artística y de ésta al discurso narrativo, libremente elegido. En este artículo he intentado desarrollar estos conceptos, trabajando la idea de la escultura escénica-actor, objeto, espacio como medio de expresión de la obra teatral.

La mirada como análisis del pensamiento lumínico, en la historia de la luz teatral de este país.

ARTIFICIAL LIGHTING: A MOMENT TO LOOK

Abstract: From the ‘80s, there is a vivid need for exploration, search and knowledge of theatrical lighting, which I have defined as "teatrocrofilia". Throughout all these years, I have sought to review from an objective perspective, the concept of lighting in the Spanish theater, not only theoretically, but also as a way of understanding why is it that through ‘the technique’ we managed to develop an ‘artistic image’, which in term becomes a sort of ’narrative’, freely chosen. In this article, I have tried to develop these concepts, working on the idea of ‘stagesculpture’ –actor, object, space– as a fundamental means of expression of the theatre play.

The way we look and the new layers of meaning in what we see are the key elements of analysis to understand light thought in the history of theatrical lighting in this country.
