LA HIBRIDACIÓN COMO REGISTRO DEL ARTE POSMODERNO EN LAS RAICES CORTADAS DE JERÓNIMO LÓPEZ MOZO¹

Resumen: El ensayo analiza el uso integrado de elementos del teatro documental y el teatro de la memoria en Las raíces cortadas del dramaturgo español Jerónimo López Mozo, un drama que gira en torna al debate político referente al sufragio femenino que protagonizaron dos figuras femeninas clave de la política española durante la Segunda República: Victoria Kent y Clara Campoamor. El ensayo demuestra cómo López Mozo funde preceptos formales de ambas técnicas teatrales para asentar un discurso posmoderno de la historia española con fines revisionistas dentro de los límites del escenario teatral.

HYBRIDITY AS A REGISTER FOR POSTMODERN ART IN LAS RAICES CORTADAS BY JERÓNIMO LÓPEZ MOZO

Abstract: The essay analyzes the integrated use of the elements of documentarytheater and memory theater in Las raíces cortadas by Spanish playwright Jerónimo López Mozo, a play that centers on the political debate on women’s suffrage that took place between two key figures of Spanish politics during the SecondRepublic: Victoria Kent and Clara Campoamor. The essay showshow López Mozo fusesthe formal preceptsof both theatrical techniquesto posit a postmodern discourseonSpanish historywith revisionist objectives within the confines of the theatrical stage.
