Resumen: Cincuenta años después de la muerte de Franco, y cuarenta desde la creación del INAEM (Instituto de las Artes Escénicas y la Música, Ministerio de Cultura), se considera la posición del teatro extranjero en España, en particular el teatro que pervivió desde finales de la guerra civil (1939) y Segunda Guerra Mundial, hasta el siglo XXI, utilizando documentación disponible en el CDAEM, Centro de Documentación de las Artes Escénicas y la Música.

FOREIGN THEATRE IN SPAIN 1975-2025. A VIEW FROM CDAEM (SPANISH DOCUMENTATION CENTRE FOR PERFORMING ARTS AND MUSIC)
Abstract: Fifty years after Franco’s death, and forty years since the INAEM (Spanish Institute of Performing Arts and Music, Ministry of Culture) was established, this paper considers the role of foreign theatre in Spain, focusing on plays that were translated and performed since the end of the Spanish Civil War (1939) and during World War II, and are still present in 21st century Spanish theatre, using documents available in CDAEM, Spanish Documentation Centre for Performing Arts and Music.
