Homenaje

Resumen: Ricard Salvat i Ferré fue una figura central del teatro catalán que a lo largo de más de cinco décadas desarrolló una carrera poliédrica que tuvo como eje fundamental el teatro, alcanzando reconocimiento estatal e internacional. A lo largo de estas páginas trataremos de acercar al lector los principales hitos de una trayectoria que pocos creadores de nuestro país pueden acreditar. A pesar de que su persona no ha trascendido a los medios públicos y con el paso de una década su nombre ha sido lamentablemente olvidado, su tenacidad, pasión y categoría artística merecen ser recordadas y puestas en valor para hacer justicia a su admirable trayectoria que se forjó en la resistencia cultural y política al franquismo y supuso el inicio del momento de esplendor que vivió el teatro catalán en las últimas décadas del pasado siglo.

RICARD SALVAT, A LIFE DEDICATED TO THE THEATRE

Abstract: Ricard Salvat was a central figure in Catalan theatre who, over the course of more than five decades, developed a multifaceted career whose fundamental axis was theatre, achieving national and international recognition. Throughout these pages we will try to bring the reader closer to the main milestones of a career that few creators in our country can prove. Although his person has not transpired to the public media and with the passage of a decade his name has been regrettably forgotten, his tenacity, passion and artistic category deserve to be remembered and valued to do justice to his admirable career that is it forgotten in cultural and politic resistance to the Franco regime and marked the beginning of the moment of brilliance that Catalan theatre experienced in the last decades of XX century.
