Resumen: La historia y la crítica proclaman que el arte no tiene sexo, pero sólo admite como canónicas las consideradas grandes obras. Cuestionar la figura de un único creador individual y reivindicar el trabajo colectivo inscrito en la escena diaria no sólo permite dar el justo reconocimiento que merecen figuras como la de la escenógrafa Elisa Sanz, sino poner en valor aspectos habitualmente poco tenidos en cuenta que amplían el canon teatral.

ELISA SANZ, THE APPLES LADY, AN INDEFATIGABLE HARD-WORKING WOMAN

Abstract: History and criticism proclaim that art has no sex while only accepting as canonical the so-called great works. Questioning the figure of the single individual creator and vindicating the collective work embedded in everyday theatrical practices is not just a way of granting figures such as set-designer Elisa Sanz the acknowledgment they in fairness deserve but also of placing high value on a number of commonly overlooked aspects which broaden however the theatrical canon.
